Blue Serenity has it all - a five-star main villa and guest cottage, both surrounded by expansive grounds and lovely gardens, all set within electronic gates. Located next to Secret Harbour's postcard-perfect beach and Blue Moon Restaurant, Blue Serenity has a gated stone staircase which curves thorough gardens from the pool deck down to the beach. But you may never want to venture out from this wonderful property! Blue Serenity's Main Villa is built all on one level and fully air-conditioned, with a high-ceilinged and very spacious Great Room serving as the central gathering spot. |

The Great Room offers a plush sitting area, with the gourmet kitchen and formal dining area adjoining within one generous, convivial space. Hallways extend from either side of the Great Room, each leading to two bedrooms. On the east side of the Great Room are two king bedrooms. The palatial king master suite is furnished with antiques and customs blinds for sleeping late and fine linens; french doors open out to a private, covered alfresco sitting area close by the pool and expansive sun deck (so you can keep an eye on the children while relaxing in the shade). The adjoining master bath is pure indulgence, with a bathtub and large glassed-in shower. Another king bedroom is off the east hallway with its bathroom just across the hall. |

The west wing comprises a compact queen bedroom, and a small bedroom with bunkbeds for one or two children under 10 years; these two bedrooms share a bath in the hallway but for guests' convenience, each bedroom has a vanity with a sink and mirror tucked into a corner. Back in the Great Room, a spiral staircase winds up to Blue Serenity's home office, a spacious area well equipped with DSL service and Wi-Fi for your laptop, a printer/scanner and fax machine with a dedicated line. The sitting area of the Great Room is furnished with sink-into sofas accented with antique pieces, a big armoire full of games and children's toys, a large flat-screen television on the wall with an adjustable arm so you can watch from several angles, handsome native stone trim, and banks of windows fitted with electronic roll-down shutters, which easily open and close with a switch for shade and privacy as you desire. The entire Main Villa is air-conditioned for your comfort, but cooling island tradewinds are plentiful most times of the year. |

Outside, via french doors opening from the Great Room and kitchen area, and from the two end bedrooms, is the huge sun deck and swimming pool, with a view of the ocean beyond. A portion of this large deck is roofed for outdoor dining options and for shady relaxation on bright sunny days. Right outside the kitchen is a handy gas grill, protected from weather by a deep overhang. On the sun deck is a dining table and chairs for alfresco meals, and poolside chaise lounges await. Blue Serenity has an assortment of children's pool toys and floats available, if you are bringing the whole family. |

Nearby under a majestic shade tree, is Blue Serenity's Garden Cottage, a perfect one-bedroom getaway for the couple or small family who wants privacy. Also fully air-conditioned, the Cottage features a sitting area shared with a small kitchen, and an adjoining king bedroom and bath. Both the living room and bedroom have a deck just outside, one shaded by a tree and set for alfresco dining, and the other with lounge chairs for private moments. |

Blue Serenity is spread over 2-1/2 beautiful acres with lush landscaping and lawns dotted with shady trees and flowers, and surrounded by fencing and walls built with native bluebit stone for privacy and security. An electronic gate offers privileged access to guests, while the pool man, gardener and other villa staff enter through a second gated entrance to the property. Blue Serenity is an expansive showplace replete with elegant and comfortable furnishings, antiques, excellent and plentiful amenities, artful lighting inside and out, and secluded privacy, yet you can take the staircase down to the beach for excellent snorkeling or lunch or dinner at Blue Moon Restaurant at Secret Harbour, or drive a few minutes to varied East End restaurants, bars, shopping, more good beaches, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Club, and to the nearby ferry dock serving St. John and the British Virgin Islands. McLaughlin Anderson Luxury Villas requires that you give us, well in advance, complete details of all wedding or function plans, including all names of wedding personnel and/or catering persons who will be at this villa for your function...this information must be provided to us before your arrival as part of your rental Terms & Conditions. Guests will be held completely responsible for any damages, missing items, and will be charged if their caterer/chef does not complete a full clean-up of the Blue Serenity property inside and outside, including removing all trash from the villa property. Please ask to see complete details and our agreement for these functions. (Blue Serenity's Main Villa has a separate trade entrance for wedding staff persons, if needed.)
*CALCULATING RENTAL RATES FOR BLUE SERENITY: The basic rental rates quoted for Blue Serenity are based on 3 bedrooms in the Main Villa (which can sleep up to 6 persons) and 1 bedroom in the Garden Cottage (for 1-2 more persons). Should you wish to rent one or two bunkbeds in the Main Villa for 1 or 2 children under 10 years, please ADD $60 per child, per night to the Main Villa's 5-6 person rental rate. If you wish to add the Cottage to your rental, and want to rent the trundle bed for 1 or 2 children or the sofabed for 1-2 children under 15 years, please ADD $60 per child, per night, to the 7-8 person rate for use of the Main Villa and the Garden Cottage. You may sleep up to 12 guests total while renting both the Main Villa and Garden Cottage.
As is true in any popular Caribbean destination, construction around the island continues. There is a home currently being built in Blue Serenity's neighborhood as at early 2007. Should you want further details on the stage of its completion or about any current disruption which may impact your stay at Blue Serenity, please ask and we'll be happy to obtain the most accurate and timely information for you. However, we have not had a single comment or complaint from any guests about any noise at all, to date.
