Wild Ginger

Mahogany Run, north side - 2 bedroom villa

Through a wrought-iron gated entrance and down a short staircase gently descending through lush tropical plantings is Wild Ginger, a romantic two-bedroom villa. As you walk out on to the pool deck, one long-distance look at the sweeping ocean panorama beyond, overlooking the uninhabited island of Hans Lollick and down-island views, will thrill you.

On your right is the main villa's pavilion, just refurbished and furnished with island charm, and stocked with all the expected amenities for low-idle vacation pleasures. The Great Room encompasses a living area, dining area and well-equipped kitchen, and screened slider doors open to a breezy covered verandah just outside.

The verandah overlooks the breathtaking expanse of shimmering sea, and offers shaded seating and alfresco dining...this is where you'll want to spend your days and evenings! Watch for humpback whales and their calves during the winter months, right off the porch!

The air-conditioned master bedroom/bath beckons romance with its teak four-poster king bed and ensuite bath. A step from the bed is screened door which opens to the verandah and to those amazing ocean views and cooling tropical tradewinds.

Behind the main villa is a garden patio canopied by a pergola and sheltered from the wind, offering a gas grill and yet another outdoor dining option.

A separate pavilion on the opposite side of the pool and sun deck houses Wild Ginger's second air-conditioned bedroom/bath, the Pool Pavilion suite, furnished with a queen bed and cable TV.

Wild Ginger is the quintessential island home, surrounded by lush landscaping and featuring that unforgettable tableau of ocean and sky dotted with green islands in the distance. Details include a breeze-inviting design, a pleasing floorplan and calming interiors.

You'll be completely at ease at Wild Ginger, where you can fritter away a lazy day with no chores, no errands to distract you from the hypnotizing sea views and gentle breezes. Or you can drive a minute over the hill to the par-70 Mahogany Run Golf Course, designed by George and Tom Fazio - here you'll find the famous "Devil's Triangle," a trio of the 13th, 14th and 15th holes on the Atlantic Ocean, said to be the most beautiful holes in the Caribbean. And the white sands of world-famous Magens Bay beach is just a mile's drive away.

Indulge yourself - work on your tropical tan, dip into the cool pool from time to time, watch the colorplay of sun on the sea as occasional yachts pass by, salute the end of another perfect day with cocktails, and learn the stars in the night sky. This is the stuff that dreams are made of, and it's all at Wild Ginger.
