Springhead Plantation has been inhabited since before 1693 and is located on a brow with spectacular views across both east and west coasts of the island. The south wing of the plantation house is self-contained and has been designed to afford complete privacy. The residence of the Farm Manager, in the north wing, ensures extra security.

This country home was completely rebuilt ten years ago, by a talented Englishman and is furnished with antiques. Upstairs are two bedrooms each with modern ensuite bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second has a king size or twin beds and opens onto a small balcony.

There is a swimming pool and pavilion concealed in the grounds, and peacocks roam the property. The gardens which cover ten acres, contain the owners' unrivalled collection of tropical plants, and include an exotically landscaped gully and an old sugar mill: from the top you can view through 360 degrees.

At Springhead, one can enjoy total privacy with personal staff care and completely forget the outside world - yet the beaches of the West Coast are less than fifteen minutes drive away. This truly represents the old Barbadian style of living.

What is included:
This privately owned villa is let complete with all equipment and utilities and is run by the owner's trained staff, which consists of a competent cook and reliable maid. Use of the owner's four door car is included in the rate. Food and drink is not included but can be supplied on prior notice.

Location:
Approximately three miles from the beach, four miles from shopping and supermarket facilities in Speightstown and eight miles from Bridgetown.
